Softball Lands Two On All-Conference Teams

RICHARDSON, Texas - The American Southwest Conference today announced the 2010 softball All-Conference members and Howard Payne University was honored with two on the list which included the ASC West Division Player of the Year.
West Division Player of the Year/1st Team All-West Division 1st base
Ashley Silva
Silva was named West Division Player of the Year after posting a division-high .448 batting average with three home runs, eight doubles and 20 RBIs. Silva also drew 27 walks, struck out just three times and led the West with a .579 on-base percentage.
2nd Team All-West Division outfield
Kimble Luna
Luna batted .327 on the year and had a .402 on base pct. She had a 1.000 fielding pct. and led the team with 113 at bats.
