Howard Payne Athletics

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne University football program today announced its 2010 schedule. Along with the eight American Southwest Conference games, the Yellow Jackets will play non-conference games versus Trinity University and Southwestern Assemblies of God University. 

The Yellow Jackets, who finished 4-6 last season under second year head coach Steve Fanara, will open the 2010 season on the road in San Antonio versus non conference opponent Trinity University on September 4th at 6:00 pm. Howard Payne will play non-conference opponent Southwestern Assemblies of God the next week at home. 

Howard Payne will open up ASC play on September 18th versus Sul Ross State University in Alpine. The 2010 homecoming game has been tabbed for October 9th versus Hardin-Simmons University. The Jackets will finish out their regular season at home against East Texas Baptist University on November 6th and will have their open week the final week of the season.
