Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne athletic department announced today that they have partnered with KYOX “the OX” for the local radio broadcasts of Howard Payne football and basketball games next season.

“We are excited to have KYOX as our new Flagship Station for Howard Payne University Athletics.” said Mike Jones, Howard Payne Director of Athletics. “This new partnership will provide our local fans with a quality source for listening to HPU Sports.”

KYOX will broadcast all Howard Payne football games as well as all home and ASC West Division games during the men’s and women’s basketball season. Any post-season games in football and basketball will be carried by the OX as well.

Broadcasting at 94.3, KYOX is a 24 hour, 40,000 Watt FM station that covers a 10 county area. KYOX "Real Country the OX" combines both the newer and older generation of country sound and artists. The OX is one of four stations owned by Cherry Creek Radio-Texas. Cherry Creek Radio-Texas is no stranger to athletic broadcasts as they are the flagship for Tarleton Sate University, Stephenville high school, and Comanche high school sporting events. They broadcast Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M University football as well.
