RICHARDSON, Texas –– Howard Payne garnered the West Division Freshman of the Year, Tamika Heline, West Division Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year, Patricia Brown, and Honorable Mention player Amanda Gutierrez on the 2008 American Southwest Conference volleyball awards, the ASC office announced on Wednesday after a vote of the league’s 13 head coaches.
