Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets

RICHARDSON, Texas –– The Howard Payne men's soccer team was honored with six players on the 2008 American Southwest Conference men’s soccer All-Conference teams, the ASC office announced on Tuesday after a vote of the league’s 14 head coaches. 

This year the YellowJackets placed the most players on the All-Conference list in the three year history of the HPU program.

First Team All-Conference at Midfielder - Dennis Benitez - JR - Carrollton, Texas/Creekview HS

Third Team All-Conference at Forward - Shane Cazad - FR - Wylie, Texas/Wylie HS

Third Team All-Conference at Goal Keeper - Francisco Medina - JR - Mt Pleasant, Texas/Mt Pleasant HS

Honorable Mention All-Conference at Defender - Wilfredo Larios - SO - Sulphur Springs, Texas/Sulphur Springs HS

Honorable Mention All-Conference at Defender - Hugo Uribe - JR - Greenville, Texas/Greenville HS
