After serving two seasons as the assistant coach Lindy Hatfield was promoted to associate head coach in 2008 by head coach Joshua Prock.
Lindy Hatfield, a Findlay, Ohio native, has compiled an amazing record as an assistant at Howard Payne. In her two seasons so far on the Howard Payne women’s basketball staff the Lady Jackets have a 61-2 record, two American Southwest Conference titles, and a national championship.
The past two seasons, Coach Hatfield has been an intricate part of recruiting, administration, game coaching, and summer camps for the Howard Payne women’s basketball program.
Hatfield played college basketball at NCAA Division I Central Michigan University; there she was captain her senior year (the 2004-2005 season). That year she averaged 8.2 ppg and led the team in 3-pointers with 37 (.339 pct.). She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness and a minor in Nutrition in December of 2005.
She also spend one year at the University of Pittsburg as an intern in the strength and conditioning department before coming to HPU as an assistant coach.
